This past weekend was very special...
To start the weekend off, our sweet Charlotte preformed in her dance recital.
She LOVES dance and at the end of each year her studio has a recital to show what they've learned throughout the year. She's always very excited for the recital, but this year it was a little different... She was also invited to preform in the Opening Number of the show.
When I asked her if she would like to, without hesitation, she answered yes! When I told her that she was required to go to the studio for an additional 2 hours each Saturday leading up to the show to practice, again without hesitation she answered - YES!
She was the youngest one out there, but that just made her love it even more.
See that little one waving the Germany flag? That's our girl!
She worked so hard and we are so incredibly proud of her!
By the way... that flag that she had to carry around the stage was 8 feet tall!!!
She had a special surprise at the end of the recital - She was presented a trophy because she has been committed to the studio for 5 years. She started when she was just 17 months old in Mommy & Me classes - I can't believe it's been 5 years since then...
Then, continuing the celebrations, not only was it Mother's Day, but we chose the special day to baptize Benjamin.
There could be nothing more beautiful than standing at the alter with Justin and Charlotte, looking out at our family and the congregation, and then handing Benjamin over to our pastor for the sacrament. My heart overflowed with love as I watched him get baptized.
Then our pastor raised Benjamin up for the whole congregation to see him and you heard a loud - "awwwww!"
It was just the most precious thing!
