30th Birthday

We went to Paris for my 30th birthday!

O0h La La

Justin wanted to keep it a surprise, but months before the final decision, he asked me where I wanted to go. I can't remember telling him a specific place, but I did say, "Anywhere but Paris".

Boy, was I a fool!

To be fair, when we went to Paris in 2002, after we had just began our careers, I got really sick. I woke up in our hotel room with fever and chills. Fortunately, the Paris pharmacies are terrific and was given great medicine, but it totally ruined Paris for me.....UNTIL NOW!

Paris is dreamy! Paris is delicious! Paris is AMAZING!!

We had such a fantastic time. It was a wonderful way to celebrate turning 30. Below are pictures from the trip.

Parent's Day

On Monday, Charlotte's school had Parent's Day during their chapel time. It was a special treat given that it was my birthday too.

Charlotte was so happy to see us at her school. Especially, her daddy!! She wasn't too interested in chapel, but extra lovey and cuddley toward us. She got to sit with us on the floor while the director lead cute songs and a Bible story about Jesus. The director called children up to help hold signs and props and at one point asked Charlotte to help. Charlotte just replied with a simple, "no". She knew that having mommy and daddy there was a special time and she wasn't going to change her new scene one bit.
Once chapel was over, we left so the kids could go back to the classrooms and have lunch. When I picked her up at carpool, the teacher told me that Charlotte kept talking about how "her daddy" was at "her school" the rest of the afternoon.
