My Daddy

As most of you all know, Charlotte is mostly a momma's girl. We are together all day long and are the best of friends. But lately, she's making a shift to daddy's girl. She sometimes calls him, "My Daddy". Of course he LOVES it! In the mornings when he goes to get her out of the crib, she sits right up and says, "Hey Daddy!".

These pictures are of the two of them playing after bath. She got those boots earlier that day and wanted to wear them ALL day!!

1st Day of School

Charlotte had her 1st day of Mother's Day Out this morning. She was excited to pack her backpack and tote around her lunch box.

Can't you feel her excitement??!!
That excitement lasted throughout the car ride and into the school but ended as we were walking to her classroom. She suddenly stopped and said, "No Mama No, Car, Car, CAR!"
I picked her up and as I was carrying her to the classroom, I explained to her that she'd have fun with her friends and that Mommy would be back soon. She wasn't buying it too much, but she acted like such a big girl and went into her classroom well. I received a call from the director shortly afterwards saying that Charlotte was having a wonderful time and "acting like she'd been there her whole life" ~ such wonderful news for a mom to hear!!

This is Charlotte's teacher walking her to the car. (We have to drive up in a carpool line and wait for the staff to bring our kids to the car and put them in the car seat themselves.)

She's growing up too fast!

Singing in the Rain

It has rained in Dallas everyday since last Friday. We aren't complaining because we really need the rain, but we're really missing the outside! My sweet friend, Amber, gave me this umbrella as a hostess gift and Charlotte has loved playing outside with it since.

Our beautiful baby

Bad Bug

Last Tuesday, Charlotte got a bad virus and had to miss her 1st day of Mother's Day Out. Fortunately she did not have the flu or strep, but nonetheless, was sick with high fevers. Our poor baby had a hard couple of days but is much better now and back to her active self.

Twirling

Charlotte is so fun to be around. Her laugh is contagious and her sweet voice melts your heart. She is growing into such a girly girl. She loves shoes, purses, sequins, lipstick, and TWIRLING! She loves to twirl and twirl until she falls down.

Unfortunately, these pictures are reversed... sorry, but you still get the picture.
