Pirates Booty

Have you've heard of it???

Pirates Booty!!

I've been hearing many moms talk about this fun snack that their kids are loving. It's a puffed rice and corn snack that's flavored with white cheddar. I finally got some today at the store and found that Charlotte wasn't too into it until the boys came over and started eating it. Then, of course, she liked it too!! They had been playing in the pool so that's the reason none of them have their shirts on but I just had to post this cute picture.

Backyard Fun

We had a fun and busy Memorial Day weekend. Saturday, Justin mowed the yard and we got to pull out the baby pool and splash around. Charlotte thought it was very fun. She especially liked playing with the water hose! It was good practice for Monday at Lakewood. We went up to the pool at 10:45 Monday morning and didn't leave until 6pm that night! It was just too much fun. We were hoping that Charlotte would take a little nap on my lap during the day, but she was too excited about the water. Even though I like to keep her on a regular schedule, I guess one day without a nap won't hurt.

Baby Cardinals

The baby Cardinals that we've been watching have flown the coup. We were playing in the backyard this weekend and noticed that the mommy and daddy cardinals were flying down low to the ground. When we walked closer to where they were flying we noticed that the babies were there!! They are so cute and make the sweetest little chirp.

Yesterday

I'm a day late posting these, but these are pictures of Charlotte and her friend Sam at the Science Place. Please note that Sam is 3 months YOUNGER than Charlotte. His parents are both very tall people, something that Charlotte does not have.

looking at the aquariums ~ super cute!!

Charlotte and I had a blast with Sam and his mommy. Charlotte and Sam are very similar in their attitudes and energy level, so the Science Place was a perfect place of them to run and explore.

Fun at the Zoo

This morning we met friends at the zoo. It was a beautiful morning and Charlotte was in a wonderful mood. As soon as we got through the gate she was ready to run.

here she is saying, "go, go"

waiting patiently for everyone to gather

Here she is in a big bird's nest ~ this has a special meaning to us because we have a Cardinal family that has made a nest outside our kitchen window. The babies hatched last week and we watch them closely throughout the day.
Charlotte quickly found the fun water area. It's apart of the children's zoo and a fun place to get wet and play. Fortunately, we found out that they have free swim diapers you can use. That was such a blessing since Charlotte became drenched very quickly!!
My precious baby having so much fun!!
We had a blast today!! So much fun that we got a zoo membership when we were leaving. I know we are going to have a fun filled, wet summer! Plus the zoo also has a beautiful carousel. Charlotte loved being able to pick her animal to ride on and thought it was so fun getting to ride up and down and round and round!

Run for the Roses

Who needs the Kentucky Derby when you have T.J. Maxx

Charlotte and I had so much fun playing at T.J. Maxx. We went for a little errand to find Daddy some socks and ended up finding hats instead.
