Feeling Good

Charlotte is feeling a much better. Her fevers have gone away, since this morning, and just a little cough remains. Her appetite is also better. And, she actually got to play with someone besides Mommy today. She loves playing outside with her friends. We had Aunt Haley staying with us last night and Spencer came over this morning while his mommy picked up his big brother from school and we had a playdate with our friends Katie and Emily. It was an exciting day. But, we miss Daddy and are counting the days until he gets home!

Girls Love Shoes

Today Charlotte was feeling a little better and since it was raining cats and dogs outside we stayed in all day. One of her favorite things lately is playing with my shoes. Until now I hadn't had my camera close, but today I got some fun pictures of her in action.

She's inside the closet picking the right pair. She thought about Daddy's boots, but I guess decided they'd be too hard to put on so, picked the pumps instead.

Cute Outfit

Thanks to our Grammie for this adorable bubble!

The weather has been so pretty lately. We had a blast outside last week. Unfortunately, Miss Charlotte became sick yesterday. Her left side molars are coming in and she developed an ear infection on that side.  We got started on an antibiotic today so, please pray for a quick healing.
Thanks!!

Fun Day

Yesterday, we spent the afternoon at the Arboretum. We went with our great friends, Erin and her boys. Charlotte loves hanging out and playing with them. They had so much fun running around and feeding the squirrel. Yes, we had a very friendly squirrel  that was interested in sharing the kids goldfish and cheerios. They thought it was hilarious.

Easter Morning

Sorry for the delay, but here's our Easter morning pictures.
I know that Charlotte's grandmas were wanting to see what she wore to church.

More Easter Fun

This morning we enjoyed more Easter fun at Lakewood. They had a wonderful setup for families ~ and had planned for 700 attendees! Charlotte enjoyed getting to see and hold real bunnies. She loved watching them jump around! As for the costume bunny, well, that's another story. She was not at all excited to have her picture taken with a fake bunny! Especially one that's adult size! So, I had to get in the picture with her and hold her in his lap. Even with all of that, she still wasn't liking it!
After that, we went back inside for story time and to have lunch. Soon after lunch was the Easter egg hunt. They had the little kids hunt first on the driving range. It was really cute to watch! There were tons of eggs scattered all around and kids everywhere trying to get them in their baskets. Charlotte had a great time. She's actually really good at picking up the eggs and placing them in her basket! Thanks to the practice round yesterday!

I thought the bunny was really cute, but Charlotte wasn't impressed

Easter Egg Hunt at The Carters'

Today we went to our friends' house, The Carters, for an Easter Egg Hunt. We had a blast playing with our friends and finding Easter eggs for our basket. The eggs were filled with yummy treats of Cheerios, Goldfish, and crackers.

Family Pictures

In January we had our family pictures taken at the house. We did it to mark Charlotte's growth and beauty at one year old. The wonderful photographer, and now friend, Davy Knapp came from Amarillo one weekend to create these beautiful photographs. We really appreciate his creativity and patience in capturing such moments.
It was so hard to wait 2 months to view the proofs, but once we saw them, we were so happy!

We absolutely fell in love with Charlotte's face in this picture. It shows her curiosity that she's had from day one. We chose this picture in black and white and have it hanging in our dinning room.

This picture, for me, captures her pure joy for life. She is such a happy baby!

This was one of the last pictures Davy took. She was ready to be done with the pictures and getting a little fussy, but Davy saw an opportunity and caught this precious moment.
