hello?

Charlotte loves talking on the phone! Yesterday morning, Justin called and she answered it. I didn't even know the phone had rang. Justin had to call me on my cell to let me know Charlotte was on the other line with him!

President's Day

Happy President's Day!

We had a cool President's Day in Dallas, but it did not stop Charlotte from wanting to play outside. Her favorite thing to do now is walk. And she walks!! Everyone is always commenting on how well she walks for just starting out~ but we have A LOT of practice!
She is also saying a few words: uh-oh, shoes, no, hello, ok, Callie and dogs.
Plus a whole bunch of other things we just haven't figured out yet. She is a big talker. She loves to talk on the phone to Daddy, Nana, and Grammie. She pretends everything is a phone; she'll put anything up to her ear and say hello. Elmo is still a favorite, but nothing compares to Ollie. For those of you who don't know, Ollie is an octopus that our niece Abbi gave to Charlotte. Abbi found Ollie at a garage sale and thought it would be prefect for Charlotte. Charlotte attached herself to it almost instantly. Now, he goes everywhere with us. The ladies at the church nursery are very familiar with Ollie too. He helps Charlotte settle down once mommy has left her.

We stay very busy these days. Our week is not complete without at least a few playdates, trips to the park, the Science Place, and Kindermusik. We have made many wonderful friends and look forward to seeing them often.

1st Boo-Boo

Charlotte fell down walking on the sidewalk a few days ago. What made it worse was that she landed on an acorn. It scraped the side of her nose and caused it to bleed. Our great friend, Erin, came to our rescue when she heard Charlotte cry from inside her house. Erin made it all better ~    Thank you!!

Little Shopper

Oh, oh, here she comes
Watch out boy she'll chew you up
Oh, oh here she comes
She's a man-eater

Bath Time Fun

These days, one of Charlotte's favorite things is her bath time. She loves it!
She knows the sign language sign for it and heads towards the bath as soon as she sees the sign.  We have so much fun with her. She's very talkative and very expressive. She is no wilting petunia.  She knows what she wants and when she wants it. We love her will power!!

Such a cutie!!
