Getting Colder

It's getting colder outside so I had to find Charlotte a hat and mittens.
Here she is with Rett in his new wagon.
I thought that this picture was so cute! I love her in hats!!!

Halloween Party

We had a Halloween Party for Charlotte's friends and their parents on Sunday. It was so much fun and so cute to see all the kids in their costumes!! Charlotte is Uniqua from the Backyardigans. It's her favorite cartoon ~ she smiles and jumps up and down when she hears the theme song.

We had a great turn out!

We'll try to make it an annual event!

Invited

We were invited to our great friend's birthday party on Saturday. Rett turned 1!!!
We had a wonderful time at the party. His mommy really did a great job planning it! There was even a BUBBLE MACHINE!!! Charlotte thought that was super cool but also found Rett's new gift, the SLIDE!!!
I wished that I had video of her on the slide because even though the picture is super cute, you miss her adorable squeal! It was hilarious!!

HPUMC 1st time mommies group.
We all met when the babies were 2 months old!
My-My How Time Flies!!

Charlotte laughing after sliding down!

The Squeal!!

Can you guess what Charlotte's mommy and daddy are getting her for her
1st birthday??!!??

And to Top it Off

As if the 3 of us being sick was not bad enough, our dog Reagan got sick last night. Reagan found and ate some of Charlotte's diaper cream. And then we found out that he ate about 10 inches of Yo-Yo string to top it off! He was so pitiful last night. He just wanted to be left alone on his bed.
Today, he is much better and pretty much back to his normal self ~ thankfully!!
We are still going to be on alert for any signs that the strings will do harm, but hopefully he will past it soon.

Just a bit of advice that we found out last night....

Poison Control Hotline is for humans only, but they will give you a number to call that services animals. You pay $35 and get to talk to a Veterinarian or veterinary staff to get advice instead of rushing to the Emergency clinic and paying way much more. They were very helpful to us and reassured us that he would probably be fine thru the weekend.

The Great Pumpkin

Charlotte helped Mommy make the Friendly Ghost for Halloween

A neighborhood pumpkin patch

She found her favorite one!

The neighborhood gang!

We love our ghost!!

10 months and VERY ACTIVE

Charlotte's favorite thing to do now is climb the stairs (with us close behind of course)!
She's very quick and very proud of herself!

Always stopping at the nitelite, just to test our reaction.

Only a few steps left and then she'll want to start all over.

A few 10 month accomplishments:
waving
clapping
crawling on hands and knees (no more army crawl)
cruising
pointing
picking up foods with her thumb and pointer finger
holding her bottle or sippy cup
saying Mamamama and Daddy (pronounced: Da-Dee)
understands No and Uh-oh
sleeping without White Noise music

Sorry!

Sorry that it's been over a month since I posted last!! As many of you may know, we've all been sick this past month. Charlotte was the first to get sick. She developed an ear infection and had to have her first round of antibiotics. Then, I got sick with a sinus infection and shortly after Justin followed suit. We both had to call our doctor for additional antibiotics after we were finished with our first round because we were still not well. And now Justin is on his 3rd round!!! Plus, Charlotte got sick again on Tuesday with Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease. It's a very common illness among infants and toddlers and not at all dangerous dispite the name. But it's VERY painful!! She developed about 15 sores in her mouth and had a very hard time eating or drinking. The sores are what's so painful. The doctor said it would last about a week and thankfully we are almost there! She is eating and drinking much better now!! But then Thursday, she developed a very bad yeast infection and diaper rash. TALK ABOUT BAD LUCK!!!! We are still treating that infection. Hopefully this will all be over soon and we can enjoy this wonderful Dallas weather. It's been so beautiful lately and we've been so lame we couldn't even enjoy it.
Please let us have a better November than October!!!!
