Fun Time with Nana & Abbi

Nana and Abbi came to Dallas last week for a fun and action packed weekend!
During their time here, we saw Jersey Boys, The Science Place, The American Girl Store, The Dallas World Aquarium, and ice skated!!
We enjoyed it all and had a great time! Charlotte was a true trooper during all of it and Abbi was as well ~ she was a SUPER big helper!! At the end of the weekend, Abbi wanted a baby sister!

She found the dog bowl AND remembers where it is at!! Once she crawls up the step from the living room, she makes a B-line to the bowl!

7 Months

Our precious Charlotte Rose at 7 months

At 7 months, Charlotte is very active and doing many fun new things.

  • She has perfected the Army crawl and is beginning to use her knees to aid her crawling. She still uses her big toes to help push off of things, aka (as Nana has named them), her rudders.
  • She pulled herself up to a standing position in her crib. That night Daddy had to lower the crib to the lowest level; we can't have any acrobats!
  • She is waving "hi" and "bye, bye", but only when she wants to ~not on command.
  • She is also VERY talkative!! I adore her precious little voice. She has many many cute noises. She's begun saying, "dadadada" and "tatatata". She also has her infamous squeal that makes everyone laugh and smile!!
  • She is eating 2 meals a day now. Her favorite foods are: cereal, apples, pears, carrots, peas, green beans, and sweet potatoes. We don't have a problem with her eating, at 6 months, she was 85% in the weight catogory.

Happy 4th of July

Happy 1st ~ 4th of July Charlotte!

We had an exciting day! Charlotte woke up ready for the 4th of July! She donned her festive Stars and Stripes outfit and was ready to hit the parade. We went to the Lakewood Parade. Justin and I had gone last year and thought it was fun, but it was even more fun with Charlotte! She was very interested in the big red fire trucks and all the candy flying by.

At the  first of the parade ~ She's loving it!!
Getting sleepy, but still VERY interested in all the action.
More sleepy, but hanging in.
What a TROOPER!! She's such an amazing baby!!
Had all the fun she could. She fell asleep before we even got back to the car. It was 1 1/2hr. past her nap time but she never got upset . She's such a happy baby! We love her tremendously! (Can you tell?)
