Sorry!

Sorry that it's been over a month since I posted last!! As many of you may know, we've all been sick this past month. Charlotte was the first to get sick. She developed an ear infection and had to have her first round of antibiotics. Then, I got sick with a sinus infection and shortly after Justin followed suit. We both had to call our doctor for additional antibiotics after we were finished with our first round because we were still not well. And now Justin is on his 3rd round!!! Plus, Charlotte got sick again on Tuesday with Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease. It's a very common illness among infants and toddlers and not at all dangerous dispite the name. But it's VERY painful!! She developed about 15 sores in her mouth and had a very hard time eating or drinking. The sores are what's so painful. The doctor said it would last about a week and thankfully we are almost there! She is eating and drinking much better now!! But then Thursday, she developed a very bad yeast infection and diaper rash. TALK ABOUT BAD LUCK!!!! We are still treating that infection. Hopefully this will all be over soon and we can enjoy this wonderful Dallas weather. It's been so beautiful lately and we've been so lame we couldn't even enjoy it. 

Please let us have a better November than October!!!!

Obsession

I have to admit that lately I've had a HUGE obsession, thanks to my wonderful husband! He bought me the first book of the Stephanie Meyer's series, Twilight, when we went on our vacation. I LOVE IT!!! I've never read so fast in my life. I couldn't wait to find out more! 

I think I read each of them in just a few days. And got Becky wrapped up in them too!! 

We love Edward and Bella!!!

The movie comes out in November ~ CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Surprise!

Charlotte and I decided to take a surprise trip to Borger over the weekend. The only one that knew we were coming was Granddad. He did very good at keeping the secret!! 

We drove with Justin to Chillicothe and dropped him off for his annual dove hunt at the Tabors. Then Charlotte, Callie, Reagan and I headed to Borger. Granddad met us at the Middle School to take care of Reagan and Callie while Charlotte and I snuck in for the first surprise.  By the picture, you can see how surprised Nana really was!!

Next, off to Grammie's school!! We had great help from Judy; she's got Grammie out of her classroom.

Everyone loved seeing Miss Charlotte!! I think we really did surprise everyone and it made their weekend. 

AND, we realized later that it was Grandparent's Day on Sunday!!

We couldn't have planned it better!!!

Charlotte loves going to the park; her favorite thing to do is swing!!

 She gets cuter and cuter every minute. She's now getting into everything!! She has mastered the army crawl (very effective way of getting around), can climb stairs (with mommy), pulls up and attempts cruising, eating more solid foods like: cheerios, Gerber puffs, saltine crackers and loves her sippy cup full of water!! Can it get better than that?!?!

Trip to California

Sorry it's taken me 2 weeks to get this posted but we've been so busy since we been back. 

Justin and I went to Sonoma Valley and San Francisco; our first time away from Charlotte.  We had a wonderful time! It was very hard to leave Charlotte behind, but once we were there (and calling home at least 6 times per day to check on her) we had so much fun!! I did have that strange feeling that I'd forgotten something. It's very hard to part with something that's so much a part of you, something that's a part of you 24hrs. a day! But I did it and loved it!! Plus, Charlotte was in great hands ~ she stayed with Grammy and Kabe the first 2 nights and then went to Nana and Granddad's the other 2. They doted on her nonstop.

Charlotte's 1st Driving Lesson

Our good friends, Harrison and Spencer, let us take their car out for a spin. It's a very Eco-friendly model. It has very good milage and puts off no carbon emissions ~ a HUGE plus!! With gas prices out of control, Charlotte can save her pennies on other things. 

This might make a great birthday present ~ hint, hint!!!
